OK guys.. I need some input! The clutch cone is out, and cleaned up, I have a correct pattern cut and have the leather to cut the arch. the old leather is still usable for understanding the lap joint. It was glued as well as riveted to the cone. How do the six pressure pads function if it is glued? ...

The jam nut on the pinion gear came off and allowed the transmission primary shaft to move forward (not to mention shearing off the keyway.
