1920 Cadillac starter

Hi all, anyone with knowledge of this starter/generator? It's been rebuilt, runs but doesn't have sufficient umpff to turn the engine over. Currently out of the car on my bench, when current applied spins but I can stop it by just holding the shaft. thoughts?

Grey and Davis wiring

So far so good with the '13 Chalmers. Now I'm seeking any help via diagrams, sketches or schematics on the wiring of a Grey and Davis type 'G' generator and a Grey and Davis type 'B' switch. The generator has 3 wires out, a red, black, and a white. Any thoughts??

Re: torgue

Hi and thank you for the comments. I've been away so only now getting back to it. Chalmers has 4 bolts per cap, quite substantial looking, so perhaps a lower torque? I'm using the originals as everything else on the car is-as-was when new.
