You are getting there! Keep up the steam. We should be seeing some exhaust coming down the tail pipe shortly.

Re: 1909 Locomobile Toy Tonneau, Rebuild Improvements for Reliability
As we Horseless Carriage enthusiasts all get to deal with "Brass" and brass issues, I have entered an update to a previous Brass Repair and Polishing thread over on the HCCA"Automotive Discussion" forum. You will find several helpful "Tips" and "Hints" there.

Re: Early Solar Brass
Next, yesterday it was to cold to spend time in the field so I chose to pull down this Rushmore headlamp and give a go at polishing the spot of worst degradation so I can determine just what I would be needing to do. I have a couple of pedestal buffers with different wheels and several different pol...

Re: Early Solar Brass
I am revisiting this old thread of mine as I have an update to share here. I have a set of large Brass Rushmore headlamps from a 1913 American-LaFrance fire truck out in the back yard. One of the lamps had some serious brass degradation on it on the bonnet as well in other locations. I have been con...

Re: 1909 Locomobile Toy Tonneau, Rebuild Improvements for Reliability
Hello Site Admin. Thanks for your post and suggestion. However, I am not looking for a part to purchase. I requested a "tip" for someone that has an original Trophy radiator ornament so I can ask a question or two. (Not to purchase) My request for a "tip" still stands. Who has or knows of an origina...

Re: 1909 Locomobile Toy Tonneau, Rebuild Improvements for Reliability
I am searching for a "Tip" for some information on the Vanderbilt Trophy radiator cap ornament. I have purchased a reproduction trophy cap ornament as found on my posting/picture on Oct. 18 on this forum. If you have an original trophy or know who has one, could you please share a reference.

Re: 1915 Maxwell Ignition question
Hello, Do you have any original Maxwell electrical literature? I would get an actual Maxwell wiring diagram and use that as a guide as you troubleshoot your ignition system headache. Good Luck with your quest, you will probably be up and running quickly!

Re: 1912 Flanders 20 Spruce Up - Any Interest?
Flanders must have been a very viable automobile to average 10,000 units for each of the years 1910-1911 and 1912. Have you tried the Nash club to see if any of those guys may have a spare carburetor?

Re: 1912 Flanders 20 Spruce Up - Any Interest?
How many Flanders 20's did they build in 1912 and then the surrounding years? That would give you an idea of how easy it will be to locate and purchase a correct carb.

Re: HCCA Gazette
Hello Rick, I certainly agree. Maybe our organization leaders could consider dedicating a certain number of our Gazettes to open sales at specific venues as you suggest. Or maybe each region could be allotted a certain amount for placement in "Book Stores" and such. More enthusiasts could certainly ...

Re: 1912 Flanders 20 Spruce Up - Any Interest?
Nice work, Will your new seat upholstering be black also? I am anxious to see how that all comes together. Did you do the rubber floor mats? That is a nice job! I am curious to see how your top mounts to the brackets you have referred to. If you get a chance, please take a few pictures and share how...

Re: "Toy Tonneau" ?
I didn't know that so many companies called their similar body types different things. Columbia, being vestibule and Overland being foursome. The Columbia terminology now does make sense as Pierce-Arrow had what they called a Vestibule sedan or Limo which was a fully enclosed body type. I think I wi...
