Re: How to get a starter ring gear made?
Bob, I would question a module gear profile in 1924 for an American truck. That being said, a 30 degree pressure angle would be more related to a spline. I could have your blank with 126 teeth, 3.5 module with a 20 degree PA cut for $275. Shipping extra.Starter ring gears are not precision gears. Ke...

Re: How to get a starter ring gear made?
Bob, If you know the number of teeth, the diametrical pitch and pitch diameter and are willing to supply the blank, it should be an easy job. Wire EDM is not the way to go. Gear Hobbing or simply using a indexer with a involute cutter would be an extremely cheaper alternative. If this doesn’t make s...

Great to see more activity on this forum. It’s been dead for to long. It represents a great opportunity for brass folks to share information. We all need to be involved for our benefit.

Scammers
I have a post on the HCCA classified site. Received a response that after a couple of email exchanges seemed like a scam. Basically responded saying the same. No response. Saw a post on the MTFCA forum that concerned something similar. A respondent said to Google the email address. In that case and ...

DBW bodies
Saw there was an 05 Cadillac for sale on the HCCA site with a DBW body. There’s a lot of similarities with the body on 05 Cadillac and my 05 REO. I’m interested in more info on DBW and the possibility they built the 1st year bodies for Ransom and REO.
