Re: 1899 Locomobile
Coker Tire, (800) 949-8700, used to advertise single tube tires, but I don't see them in the current catalog. You could call and talk to them to see if they could help. I agree this car shouldn't be restored, but if the boiler is sound it would be a wonderful thing to demonstrate in operation on you...

Re: Automobubbling in Brandywine
These are terrific pictures! Even the one of me napping on the lawn! I will add a few, along with comments about the tour. I don’t remember what I expected from a tour whose host hotel fronted on super-busy U.S. Route 202 in Wilmington, Delaware. I certainly didn’t expect scenic rural roads that riv...

Ken, just get a single. It's all you'll ever need. If you have two cylinders, there's twice the risk one will stop working!

2015 Eastern National 1&2-Cylinder Tour
Tour directors Andy and Tricia Wallace kicked off this year’s eastern national 1&2 by inviting everyone to a Sunday evening party at their home. We were treated to live music, a cookout with wine and beer, a stroll through the Wallaces’ extensive collection, and a chance to mingle with friends old a...

Re: Vancouver Regional Group Chasing Billy Miner Tour video
What a superb set of pictures! They should make anyone want to have been there. On eastern tours, we often take a bit of dirt road, known euphemistically as a country lane. But I suspect 25 miles of mountain dirt road would provoke an open rebellion. Some of us would love it, and some would go home....

2015 New England Brass & Gas Tour
The 2015 running of the biennial New England Brass and Gas tour happened last week. It was headquartered at the Holiday Inn in Boxborough, MA. This will be a summary of my impressions of the tour. Gazette editor John Meyer was there, and will present a full write-up in the magazine later in the year...

2015 Brass in Berks County Tour
Spring has finally arrived, and another Brass in Berks County tour is in the memory bank. We returned to last year’s headquarters in Morgantown, PA. Same huge parking lot with easy access to back roads. Same hotel with comfortable, reasonably-priced rooms, but the food had deteriorated. No omelet st...

Re: Czech Tour Videos
This is a great set of videos! Makes me wish I were touring there. Joan and I bicycled through some of that countryside about five years ago. It sure would be neat to tour it in a brass car. And I never thought I'd hear "Clang, Clang, Clang Went the Trolley" in Czech!

Re: Locomobile Model L information needed
The roster shows a Courtland Cross in New Hampshire who has a 1909 Locomobile Model 30L toy tonneau. Is this mechanically the same car? He might have some data.

Is It OK to Fall in Love with Your Insurance Company?
I’m posting this to the AACA, HCCA and MTFCA websites. I had to make a quick overnight trip from NJ to Waynesboro, VA last Sunday with an expected return Monday. About 50 miles from Waynesboro my 2004 VW Touareg shed a drive belt that disabled the alternator and power steering. I kept going on batte...

Congratulations to Kathie Conrad!
Today's Wall Street Journal has a article about Kathie and her Model T. Many of us have seen Kathie giving Model T driving lessons at national tours. Here's the link:

Congratulations, Vern Campbell, On Your "Twofer"!
Horseless Carriage Gazette readers will have seen and enjoyed the spread in the newest issue about Vern's Maxwell Q-2 surrey. But, in addition, his 1918 Ford roadster is the cover car on the latest Model T Times, which I received one day after my Gazette. Nice, going, Vern!

Re: Did You Drive Your Pre-'16 Today?
I drove the one-lung to a Cars and Croissants today. The temperature was 22 when I left the house, and 25 when I got home, so the snowmobile suit was very welcome. The only other topless attendee was a 1960 Triumph TR-3a. I was joined by a BMW Isetta in the parking lot, so we one-lung types had each...
