Re: 1906 Spyker Restoration

I had heard of that automobile in the past.... Nice to see such a nice restoration story. I didn't even mind the Dutch. That old gent is pretty crafty.

Re: 3 speed Progressive Transmission information?

Do you run and tour with a car that has a "Progressive" transmission? Could you describe any difficulties you may have shifting from gear to gear, both up and down?

Re: Winter time blues.....no wonder nothing gets done

It sounds as if you are very good at your "Tour" planning. If I can make it work, I would like to come to Pa., from Utah, and participate in your planned tour. A couple of years ago, my wife and I were vacationing in the Poconos, for the fall colors. During our time in PA. we made the venture over t...

Winter time blues.....no wonder nothing gets done

I just thought I would post a few pictures of the "Winter Time Blues". The dump truck is scheduled for hydraulic service and installation of a "Brownie" aux. trans. The Nash coupe is to be messed with and make run good enough for summer parades. The Brass projects are stored, out of the now, but jus...

3 speed Progressive Transmission information?

Does anyone here have information that relates to a 3 speed progressive transmission? It can be any make, I am just after some information, cut away view, etc., to use as basic information as I begin an overhaul on an early transmission I have.

Re: "A.Streit Machine Company" information needed

Hello, Thanks for reminding me about the HCCA affiliated library. I will see if they have any literature of information that is more than just magazine sales information. I am hoping that someone may have some personal knowledge regarding the Owners, Engineers, and any trivia about this small compan...

"A.Streit Machine Company" information needed

I have an early two cylinder opposed, about 16 hp engine that I think was built by the A.Streit Machine company of Cincinnati Ohio. Do any of you Ohio historians have any information on that company? I assume the engine was built 1904-6. I have not found much at all on the internet. Alan

Re: Wisconsin 4 Cylinder T head "M" engine

Hello Pete, I took your advice and looked at pictures or your Mcintyre on Google. You have a nice car. It must be a nice muscular drive with that long stroke engine! I am hoping that the Wisconsin engine can be brought back to life and prove its worth. I have lots to do to get it running. Regards, A...

Re: Wisconsin 4 Cylinder T head "M" engine

Hello Pete, You are my kind of old car guy. I have seriously thought of making my own pistons, for the Wisconsin, and I do have most of the machinery but not a grinder. If you can figure out posting pictures here, I would like to see your car. What is the bore and stroke? Is it a bugger to crank or ...

Re: Wisconsin 4 Cylinder T head "M" engine

Hello Pete, I, being a farmer, was thinking "tractor" when I saw your handle. Is your car a high wheeler? Are they related to Buick? I do appreciate your reference to JP in OZ. I sent them all the basic spec's. from my 5-3/4" piston. When they responded, they said they couldn't handle the size. I as...

Re: Wisconsin 4 Cylinder T head "M" engine

Hello F12, Does F12 signify Farmall? I checked with and received a response back from JP. They are not able to delivery the 5-3/4" piston that I need. I will keep them in mind for future projects that use a bit more typical sized piston. Thanks for your time to respond. I do have an F-30 out back, w...

Re: Wisconsin 4 Cylinder T head "M" engine

Hello Tall,
Thanks for taking the time to respond to my need of a piston supplier for the Wisconsin rebuild. I will check with your source and see how they stack up. It would be nice to save some cash as I will be deep in this rebuild before I am done.

Re: Wisconsin 4 Cylinder T head "M" engine

Just a note for those who may be interested in custom pistons needed for one of our antique engines. I checked EGGE, Carillo, Keith Black and Ross as possible piston suppliers. I found that Keith Black, a subsidiary of United Machine, does not at this time build custom pistons. They are trying to ge...
