Hi there I rebuilt the Remy mag on my buddies 12 McLaughlin Buick.
Did you check the condenser,they have been known to go bad?
Dist cap is a work of art,did your son use a 3D printer?

Al It has 4 1/8 x 5 in. Yes it is hand crank but with a two hand pull you develop a technique. I pull from about 7 to 12 o clock. The mag is a Bosch DU4 and the trick is to advance the mag enough without it kicking back so that it will produce spark at low RPM. Theres pictures on the web if you go i...

Hi I have used J P Engineering in Australia and found them to be very good quality and the best price http://www.jp.com.au/
Pistons for my E.M.F. were AU$120.00 for each piston, rings included compared to others that were US$3000.00 for a complete set

My solution was to take my bands to the local truck shop and have them send the bands out to have modern brake lining bonded on. There is a big difference between holding material(woven green gripper used on elevators)and stopping material non woven used on modern vehicles.This has been used on 3 of...

went out of business in1915 was this car a highwheeler
