I'm trying to find out information on my 1917 Studebaker Touring s/n 214733 that I just purchased in December. It's titled as a 1918, has 1918 Arizona plate #23226, has 1961 copper Arizona Horseless Carriage plate #419, has plaques from Tucson to Grand Canyon Tour every year from 1952 to 1964. I think a previous owner from that time period was Al and Cathy Wethington from Tucson. I think he was involved with the HCC at the time. I saw snippets of an add in HCC Gazette in 1971 listing it for sale by his wife (assuming he died), it mentioned it was restored 14 years ago (which would be 1957). There may be pictures of it in HCC Gazette Volume 17 Issue 3 pages 28-31, and Volume 19 issue 4 (july-aug 1957) pages 28-31. If there are pictures of it in those, I'd be interested in buying the complete gazette or at least copies of the pages that it is in. I'm trying to find out as much as possible about the car, all the way to its birth if possible. I will attach a couple pictures of it in the building in Elyria, OH that it was sitting in since the early 1990s, before and after on the engine. I did get it to start 2 weeks ago.
