The North Carolina Regional Group of the Horseless Carriage Club of America hosted its 62nd Annual Tour in Hiawassee, GA, in July 2013. Tommy and Gail Lyon of Elberton, GA, planned a great week of touring along scenic mountain roads.
Approximately 60 cars, manufactured prior to 1928, were registered and makes such as
* Marmon
* Willys-Knight
* Cadillac
* Buick
* Oldsmobile
* Franklin
* Locomobile
* White
* Dodge Bros.
* Maxwell
* Chevrolet
* Pierce-Arrow
* Stutz
* Packard
* Peerless
* and Ford
were represented.
Throughout the week, the group toured the northeast Georgia mountains and the areas surrounding Hiawassee and beautiful Lake Chatuge. Scenic routes, great food, and the chance to renew friendships made it a wonderful week for all.

Somehow I missed this thread when it was first posted. This tour had a beautiful mix of brass-and nickel-era cars. In several pictures, cars are touring together. Is that just momentary bunching up, or do you try to stay together for the whole tour? If you try to stay together, how do you keep the slower cars from being stressed and the faster drivers from being bored?
It looks like a great tour with fantastic scenery. I might have to go there one of these years!
