They film a lot of movies and TV shows in Vancouver. I've had my 15T, 11T, and 12 Oakland on the set a few times over the last 6 weeks. Today it was the 15 and 11 T's. Great day for it. Sun and around 10C.

A Cars and Croissants day, this time at a local nunnery, the Sisters of Christian Charity. The usual collection of exotic, expensive vroommobiles in which you can lose your license in under 5 seconds on pretty nearly any road in North America. But Ed Rowan brought a beautiful '30s Bentley, and I fired up the Stanley, aka The Dragon. I got about as many questions and comments as all the others put together. I ended up giving a couple of nuns a ride. Old cars are chick magnets!

No picture this time. The Great Swamp Watershed Association had a fund raiser this month. It included a silent auction for goods and services donated. I offered a Model T driving lesson. Four people together put in a high bid of $290 to buy the lesson for their husband/stepfather/stepfather-in-law's 83rd birthday. Today four people came to my home, including the gift recipient and three of the family donors. I showed them my fleet, answered a potful of questions, took the donors for a short Model T ride, and then spent about an hour teaching the recipient how to drive the T. He used to have '36 V-8 Fords and a Model A truck, but hadn't been involved for many years and had never driven a T. He did fine. It was a bit chilly with the windshield down, 47 degrees and breezy. Fun afternoon.
