This hand pumper fire apparatus was constructed by Button & Co. of Waterford, New York, in 1856. It was used by the Greene, New York, fire department, and was purchased by the Genegantslet, New York, Fire Company in 1879. It was later displayed at the Pan-American Exposition of 1901 in Buffalo, New York, and remained with the Genegantslet Fire Company until 1972 when it was subsequently restored. It was moved to New Jersey in 1978 and was purchased by father in 2016. The wagon features wood and cast iron construction with brass accents, a fire bell, a steerable front axle, and orange, red, and gold lettering.
