1909 Buick Model 10 touring car. Perhaps the most iconic of the American brass-era cars, the Model 10 features a 2-speed planetary transmission and Buick’s famous 4-cylinder overhead-valve engine. It’s a very presentable car with the correct white paint and pin striping. No rust or damage. Undercarriage clean. Leather upholstery and the newer top are also in good condition. I’ve done a number of things to the car since my purchase including:

– Professional magneto rebuild (Bosch DU4 with impulse drive)

– Radiator restored & polished

– Transmission rebuilt (replacing any loose bushings)

– Clutch re-leathered

– Original carb rebuilt by The Carb Doctor

– New fan belt

– Lubrication & new spark plug wires

– New ignition switch

– New magneto timing linkage

Looks like a careful, older restoration. Not sure what had been done to the engine before I got the car, but everything looks good.  It has good compression, and the car runs and drives. The transmission brake has been upgraded with the addition of a hydraulic disc brake to replace the drum. The brake lever operates the rear drum brakes. The top includes a roll-up windshield and rear window.

The tires are in good condition. Steering and suspension are in good order.

I’ve not driven the car much, but it has an impressive touring history. Buyer will need to do the inevitable sorting, but I anticipate nothing major. Good title in my name. Located near Philadelphia.
