1916 Hudson 7 passenger Phaeton/ Touring car saved from the scrap yard. Car is 100% complete except for upholstery, top fabric, tires that were too fragile to survive. Car would require a massive and costly restoration so i am presenting it as an extra nice parts/ doner car for anyone needing parts for a similar Hudson being restored. There is very little rust and what rust is there is restorable. any panels or sheet metal needing replacement have the originals for patterns. Fenders are straight and solid with some minor rust. body sheet metal is excellent. dash and gauges are complete. Engine, trans, and all running gear and mechanicals are present. All seat springs are present for patterns—Snyder’s– remakes custom springs. This is Hudson car #5240 model H with Engine #7635 disp 288.6 cu in Wheelbase is 125.5″  1916 was a pivotal year for Hudson. Their engineers were able to double the horsepower without increasing the displacement and size of the engine so a 47 hp engine had its horsepower doubled by a counterbalanced crankshaft that also doubled the RPMs. Hudson also entered the endurance arena with their new engine driving it 1811 miles in 24 hrs with average speed over 75 mph and set a datona speed record of over 102mph. This car still has its original blue paint with factory pin striping. The wood spoke wheels are even pin striped. Call for details. More photos available.
