1924 Jowett Short Two
This Jowett from Bradford England is the only pre-war Jowett in the United States per the Jowett Car Club (oldest single make club in existence since 1923 – OLDER THAN THE CAR!). This is a completely restored 2025 AACA senior winner with everything in the proper place with original engine drive train and all components. Selling due to space constraints and interest in some earlier cars (hence membership in the Horseless Carriage Club) I am also selling a pre-war Humber 9/20, too if interested in a package deal.
Two Cylinder horizontally opposed 7 hp (907 CC ) water cooled engine in perfect condition. Starts and drives fine with a 3 speed plus reverse and a finicky clutch. Driven at Henry Ford Old Car event these past several years and shown at AACA in Hershey the past two years as a winner.
This is a lovely car that needs to be shown and driven more and/or placed into a museum if not that. I need room to work on the other cars and would love this to go to a good home. Contact me for more information. I am looking for photos of the very interesting engine. I can take some if asked. Jowett Car Club is active in England and has been a good source for information (Jowett Car Club – Home – http://jowett.org). It is not difficult to repair or maintain. Ask any questions. I have enjoyed this car immensely and will miss it. I might be able to deliver to the greater Penn/Ohio/Indiana/Illinois area. Let me know if interested in this or the lovely original patina Humber listed elsewhere.
