DESCRIPTION:The Museum of the Horseless Carriage is pleased to present our Sixth Annual signature event\, the Celebration of Brass VI\, featuring 45 hp cars and above. Of course\, we welcome ALL Pre-1916 automobiles\, trucks\, and motorcycles. We hope you will join us at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners\, Michigan\, where early automobile enthusiasts will display and drive their Brass Era vehicles\, highlighting the incredible history and development of these pioneer machines that paved the way to our modern era. \nTHE REGISTRATION FORM IS AVAILABLE AT  \nwww.museumofthehorselesscarriage.org/events \n We have a lot happening at the Friday & Saturday\, July 17 & 18\, COB VI Car Show this summer! \n\nSee up to 100 Brass Era vehicles up close all in one place\nShare in the historic MHC Groundbreaking Special Event\nPre-WWII Swap Meet\nCheck out our current MHC home in the Steam Barn at the GCM\nSee the site of the future Museum of the Horseless Carriage\nBrass Era Car Rides\nEducational Presentations with Knowledgeable Speakers\nBrass Era Technical Demonstrations\nPass-In-Review\nThursday evening\, July 16\, Welcome Taco Party at the host hotel\nFriday evening\, July 17\, MHC Fundraiser Ice Cream Social at Tony and Bonnie Pienta’s Car Collection\nSaturday evening\, July 18\, Celebration Dinner with Jay Follis entertaining us with his popular Titanic: Michigan’s Connections presentation\n\nAll this is followed by the COB VI Three-Day HCCA National Tour\, July 19 – 21\, 2026. \nCOB VI & HCCA NATIONAL TOUR HOST HOTEL \nHoliday Inn & Suites\, Kalamazoo West\, 1247 Westgate Drive\, Kalamazoo\, MI 49009. The group rate is $124.00 for Standard King and $134.00 for Standard Double Queen rooms plus taxes and fees. The Celebration of Brass room block has a cut-off date of June 24\, 2026. The block is available Thursday\, July 16 – Tuesday\, July 21\, 2026 (departing July 22). The hotel is located 24 miles southwest of the GCM. For reservations call 269-888-4800.
