SUMMARY:DEATH VALLEY 2025 - California
DESCRIPTION:The Horseless Carriage Club of Southern California cordially invites you to spend the first days of spring motoring in America’s largest and most enchanting national park. Death Valley is truly a destination like no other and we will be enjoying the best of what the park has to offer during the most ideal time of year for a visit. \nThis will be a three-night hub tour based out of the historic Oasis at Death Valley Resort. We have secured room blocks from each of the resort’s two lodging options. The first option is the historic and recently renovated Inn at Death Valley which was built in 1927 on a natural hot spring which still services the hotel’s amenities. The second option is the Ranch at Death Valley. \nThe Inn and the Ranch are just across the road from each other and together comprise the Oasis Resort. Tour participants may choose which lodging type they prefer and make reservations for either option by calling (760)-786-2345 and using the following reservation codes for “The Horseless Carriage Club” room block: \n\nInn at Death Valley – $538.62 per night with reservation code FI032025HCC\nRanch at Death Valley – $236.02 per night with reservation code FR032025HCC1\n\nDeath Valley is an unparalleled motoring destination and our tour will explore a number of the fascinating albeit strange phenomena of this unique part of the world. We will drive through the lowest point below sea level in North America and climb to the highest peak in the valley while exploring many of the other features that compelled Herbert Hoover to declare this area a national monument in 1933. \nTo join us on this tour\nCall the hotel directly to make your reservation as soon as possible. There is limited hotel availability. After you have secured your room reservation\, send your tour fee to: \nBothwell Collection\n1281 Logan Ave.\, Suite B\nCosta Mesa\, CA 92626. \nWhen your tour fee is received\, you will be sent a liability waiver for signature. \nThe tour fee will be $455.00 per car & driver and $405.00 for each additional passenger. \nFor any questions\, contact John Bothwell at john.bothwell@gmail.com. \n\nTOUR ITINERARY\nThursday\, March 20 \n\nArrival Day / Unload trailers / Check in\nAfternoon drive to 20 Mule Team Canyon / Dante’s View / Zabriskie Point |\nEvening welcome reception dinner at Borax Museum (included in tour cost)\n\nFriday\, March 21 \n• Mars Hill / Mushroom Rock / Artists Pallet / Devils Golf Course / Badwater Basin / Tecopa / Death Valley Junction / Devils \nHole / China Ranch \nSaturday\, March 22 \n\nMesquite sand dunes / Emmigrant Canyon / Wildrose Canyon / Stovepipe Wells / Rhyolite\nGroup banquet dinner on the Panamint Deck at the Inn at Death Valley (included in tour cost)\n\nSunday\, March 23 \n\nLoad up and departure\nOptional extra day for those who would like to rent Jeeps for offroad desert tour

SUMMARY:The Last Roundup Tour - San Diego\, CA
DESCRIPTION: REGISTRATION FORM\n\nRoundup Flyer\n  \nCome join the Cattle Drovers of the Model T Ford Club of San Diego for a Best Bib and Tucker event this side of Tombstone  \nThursday\, Oct 16 to Sunday\, Oct 19\, 2025 \nFaster than fairies\, faster than witches\, Bridges and houses\, hedges and ditches; And charging along like troops in a battle\, All through the meadows the horses and cattle: All of the sights of the hill and the plain Fly as thick as driving rain; And ever again\, in the wink of an eye\, Horseless Carriages hurry on by …  \nModel T Ford Club of San Diego invites the Model T and Horseless Carriage Clubs \nA ca’boy\, by definition\, has no “quit.” Put your left foot in the stirrup\, it all starts there. If a young ca’boy falls off a horse (sometimes called bronc-it is)\, they may break something. When you’re my age\, you splatter! So\, hold on tight and get out from behind the wheel of your “cattle-lack.” This rodeo is just getting started.  \nThe event will begin with a Thursday afternoon\, October 16\, 2025 arrival and check-in at the Pala Masa Resort (2001 Old Hwy 395\, Fallbrook\, Ca. (760-728-5881)). A Boot Scootin’ Ice Breaker around the Rusty Water Bar will occur at 5:00PM in the parking lot. The fun filled three-day tour will begin on Friday\, Oct 17 with a tour of the picturesque southern coast of California from Oceanside to Del Mar (or further if you like). Linking a string of charming beach communities\, Historic Highway 101 hugs the Pa-cific Ocean and offers a taste of California’s surf culture that can’t be duplicated anywhere in the world.  \nDay two will feature a road rally/tour. It is not a race and the directions will be clear. The intent is not to get you Cattle Drovers lost but to stimulate your creative juices as you progress along the trail. You will be presented with questions about the sur-roundings you encounter. Yes\, it is a competitive event with valuable and highly coveted prizes awarded to the top three finish-ers so a navigator with a clipboard is strongly recommended. Cars will depart in 2-minute intervals. Incremental departures are meant to keep participants from playing “follow the leader!” Yeah\, like that is going to work!! The rally will culminate with an opportunity to visit Old Town Temecula followed by a BBQ at John and Karen Pepe’s Ponderosa.  \nDay three will consist of a tour to the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum in Vista where you will participate in the October En-gine and Tractor Festival. Entry is free for your car\, driver and one passenger.  \nAfter a trip to the Rusty Water Bar\, Barbara Beach will be demonstrating her prowess on the trampoline and Jim and Dianna Skilli-corn will demonstrate how to moonwalk in a bounce house. Tom and Anne Beckel will choose teams for a water balloon and fist fight. (Corners of my mouth are beginning to giggle bleed!)  \nWe’re not done yet!!  \nSo\, don’t be stepping on any compressed hay. Get a wiggle on and make a grubstake at the Pala Mesa hotel. Don’t forget to Pony Express your registration. Giddy-up!
