ABC Tour
The inaugural Horseless Carriage Club of America ABC Tour was organized by Shawn Achtel, Jeff Lesher, and Keith Billet. The four day touring event kicked off in Strasburg, PA, on Sunday, June 9, and ended on Thursday, June 13. Driving days Monday through Thursday. Forty-three cars registered for the event with participants traveling from as far away as California, England, and the Netherlands. We traveled anywhere between 60 to 95 miles depending on the route.
Visits included:
- Monday: Daniel Petersheim’s Upholstery, Landis Valley Farm Museum, and a visit to a private car collection
- Tuesday: Explored Columbia, lunch at John Wright’s, and a afternoon visit to a private collection in York County
- Wednesday: Paul B. Hardware, Ephrata Cloister, lunch at Pourman’s Brewery, explored downtown Ephrata
- Thursday: Robert Fulton’s birthplace, Fishing Creek Rd., and Britain Hill Winery
