Tour details:
Plan to arrive about noon on the 17th. Kickoff will be at Rancho Alegre, 100 S. Jefferson St, on the square in Nashville. At 12:30 p.m. we meet to distribute books, have lunch and have a driver’s meeting. Also, that day is the day of the Harvest Festival in Nashville on the square, so after lunch enjoy all it has to offer. At 4:00 we will re-convene at the Nashville Community Center, 102 N. Jefferson, St, Nashville, GA.
Before lunch leave your cars and rigs at 502 E. Marion Ave, Nashville, GA 31639. There you can park your trailer and take the car out. The cars will be in a locked and covered warehouse each night, so you do not have to park your antique in a trailer each day. Your trailers will be parked across the street in a fenced and locked lot. The Nashville hotel and B&Bs are within walking distance. We will have a trouble truck (a.k.a, the “Buzzard”) on duty as well as a mechanic well versed in brass cars. We will be touring in Nashville and Lakeland, Georgia as well as in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
You must book your own accommodations. Our Place Hotel, 101 W. Marion Ave, is the only hotel in Nashville (229) 507-4991. As of 3 August, there are only five double-twin rooms available for $130 p/night. There are also B & B accommodations in Nashville.
There are 2 condo’s and one loft available in Nashville for our tour dates, at $93-$180 p/night, available through Expedia.com.
Those willing to accept geographical separation 15 miles away in Adel, GA, can opt for the Days Inn at $121 p/night, plus taxes, or the Hampton Inn at $299 p/night plus taxes. Rates could be slightly less with non-refundable pre-paid reservations.
