The new owner of this Simplex will enjoy the distinct privilege of showing and explaining the astonishing details of the technically advanced features of this opulent limited production motor car with its body custom made to its original owners specifications.

One outstanding and very famous 1916 Simplex is currently owned by JAY LENO. It is a Holbrook custom bodied skiff designed with a nautical theme, Bill Harrah previously owned it.

The vehicle being offered for sale while quite different in appearance from Jay Leno’s. Both have an identical chassis with 25” 120MM center lock Rudge-Whitworth wire wheels, 110 hp. 563.7 cu. in. 6 cylinder engine, 4 speed transmission, all Bosch electrical including magneto, coil, generator and starter.

Original owners of 1916 Simplex automobiles include:

The J.D. Rockerfeller family, owned two.

The Vanderbuilt family owned one.

The Kimball Family (manufacturers of high quality pianos) owned one.
