1907 Jewel Model D For Sale
1907 Jewel Model D in As New restored condition. No expenses spared in this nut & bolt, ground up restoration. Jewel buckboard style early automobiles are extremely rare and very few exist today. So rare in fact that none are listed in the HCCA directory. These cars were produced by the Forest City Motor Car Company in Massillon, Ohio from 1906 to 1909 when production ceased due to a merger with Keeton Town Car Works. Jewels were powered by a two cycle type engine making 8 full horse power. Transmission was an improved planetary type with two speeds forward and reverse. Speed in 1906 was 4 to 15 mph. In 1907 speed was improved to 30mph with jackshaft being eliminated and single chain drive adopted from engine directly to the rear axle. Pneumatic tires in size 28×3 became standard in 1907 with tops being optional. If you want to own a really, really rare example of an early car–Look no further. There is also a 1906 Jewell model B project available. Call for details and more pics.
