Offered here is a great 1909 Model 48 Pierce Arrow tourabout that is just out of an estate where it has been for some time. It’s a beautiful and very large, sporty car and a very good one as well. Previously owned by the very well known collector Don Meyer of New Jersey who had it for many years. It’s one of only a four real and known 1909 model 48’s in existence and the only tourabout. It’s listed in the book: “Pierce Arrow, The Golden Age” by Marc Ralston, car serial # 6935. It is a wonderful original car with a really nice restoration and very good history. The polished copper hood is really outstanding and the paint and upholstery is also beautiful. The engine was recently completely rebuilt and an electric starter was installed for easy starting and hydraulic brakes were installed for safety. It runs and drives great, a very powerful big 50HP six cylinder T-head. It has beautiful large Rushmore headlamps and beautiful side lamps as well as a Warner coke bottle with clock speedo setup. This is one of the most significant early Pierce Arrows in existence. To give an idea of size, it has a 130 inch wheelbase, it’s impressive. Contact for more information and photos.
