1910 Sears Motor Buggy — Restoration Project, Parts & Historical Literature
1910 Sears Motor Buggy, chassis #2233. An incomplete restoration project requiring an engine, additional parts, and extensive restoration work. No engine is included with the vehicle. The original engine was used in another Sears restoration, which was subsequently sold, so that engine is no longer available.
Long-term family-owned vehicle, originally purchased by Frank Bisant of Zanesville, Ohio, and subsequently acquired by our family. Offered for sale following the passing of my father and brother, both of whom were longtime antique automobile collectors and restorers.
The sale includes a collection of assorted vintage automobile parts believed to be associated with Sears Motor Buggies. The parts have not been individually identified or inventoried, and no representation is made regarding their completeness or suitability for this particular vehicle. Please refer to the Google Drive links below to see what is included.
Also includes a collection of original historical photographs, literature, advertising, and documentation associated with the vehicle. High-resolution digital scans of Frank Bisant’s original photos are included with the sale (see Google Drive links below).
The vehicle, associated parts, photographs, and literature are being offered together as one package. Individual parts and materials are not being sold separately at this time.
Historical Background: The Sears Motor Buggy was an early American high-wheel automobile sold through the Sears, Roebuck catalog beginning in 1909, featuring a two-cylinder air-cooled engine, friction transmission, and chain drive.
