1912 EMF 30 Touring – Extensive Restoration Project with Provenance Documentation
My brother and I are assisting our parents with the sale of Dad’s long-term restoration project: a 1912 EMF 30 Touring that has been in our family since 1987.
Dad, Larry Pearsall, was a lifelong mechanic and engineer who spent roughly 11 years restoring the car before life took him in a different direction. After retiring and moving to Shaver Lake, California in 1997, he founded the Pine Ridge Volunteer Fire Department and ultimately served as Fire Chief from 1998–2018. The EMF remained stored indoors in his barn/shop and was never returned to active restoration.
The car is substantially complete and highly original. Restoration work completed includes:
• Professionally rebuilt engine
• Rebuilt drivetrain and major mechanical assemblies
• Rebuilt transmission and wheel assemblies
• Extensive preservation and organization of original parts
Known missing components are believed limited to:
• Magneto
• Valve associated with the engine lubrication system
The car retains original body components, brass lamps, top irons, extensive hardware, upholstery remnants, manuals, parts books, receipts, notes, and correspondence.
We have assembled a detailed Sale & Provenance Package containing nearly 100 photographs documenting the vehicle, components, restoration work, documentation, and family history. I’d be happy to share this with you — or others you know who may have an interest.
The automobile is located in Shaver Lake, California. Asking price: $22,500 OBO
Choosing *just* 5 photos is a tough task for this story! Drop me an email and I’ll send you the PDF Sale Package with nearly 100 detailed photos. Thank you for your consideration.
