Great Touring car. This car was owned by my dads best friend. Jim Hodge in Eugene, Oregon. he was the 2nd owner. He did a complete restoration in 1957 and drove it on many tours. By the 1970’s his car collecting veered to the late 30’s cars and the essex was stored inside.
This car was never left outside and had always been stored indoors since new. A rare find in Oregon.
I bought it 8 years ago from the estate and stored it in my moms barn outside of Eugene where its sat for most of that time.Around 2 years ago I sent it to a shop which got the engine unstuck from sitting. Sticky old valves and got it to run off a can of gas. We dropped the tank but other cars have kept me busy.
Sadly I have no time for this old gal and would really like to see this go to a good home.
These OHV 4 cylinder engines were the best on the market at the time and most were re purposed as diry track racers in the late 20’s early 30’s
The cars old Laquer paint is showing age on the fenders.
Has dual rear spare carrier and is solid and straight throughout
Interior and top are old but very usable.
Ill gladly send pics Serious buyers. Please no Tire Kickers or Scammers.
