I purchased this car from the Minden Automobile Museum collection through the National Automobile Museum. The Minden Automobile Museum in Nevada is a renowned private collection primarily focused on Vintage and Brass Era cars (1910–1929). This is reportedly the last car added to the collection before the founder, Ted Bacon, passed away.

This Paige 6-66 had the larger six cylinder sourced from Continental and a three-speed manual transmission was supplied by Warner. Engine # 8AP-134537 is a flathead, inline-six cylinder engine (331.4 cubic inches). The P in 8AP signifies its build for the Paige Detroit Motor Car Company. The 8AP engine was famed for its smooth delivery, giving the Paige Model 6-66 about 70 horsepower at 2,300 rpm. These vintage motors are highly collectible today. The engine turns freely but is not currently running.

My intent was to put on the roadster body of the record setting Paige 6-66 Daytona. It has the appropriate Continental 8A engine, gearbox, axles, chassis and rear wheel brakes. Currently there is, other than the firewall and the pair of rudimentary seats, no bodywork. The chassis and suspension have a quick preservative coating of yellow paint. The radiator surround is bare brass without nickel or chrome plating and there are two seats loosely assembled to the chassis.

The chassis number, which should be under the left seat, is not there. The coil overload springs on rear axle between the semi-elliptics and the appearance of a shortened frame indicated that this is not Daytona chassis, but probably from a larger sedan.
