Some highlights of this year’s Hershey Hangover XIV Tour:
Friday, October 10 – Arrive at Hotel – No Organized Touring Planned
Registration Pick-Up and 6:30 PM Meet and Greet Buffet with Cash Bar at Hotel
Saturday, October 11
Morning of touring into Chester County with a morning stop at the American Helicopter Museum. After our visit to the museum, we will pass through historic West Chester en route to Stargazer Winery. Lunch will be on your own, and we have identified three potential lunch stops, all with unique character and offerings. From the winery, we will head north while passing an excellent ice cream stop! Dinner on Saturday evening is on your own. 75 miles of driving.
Sunday, October 12
We head west into Lancaster County to Harvest Days Celebration at the Landis Valley Farm Museum. This is the 100th anniversary Harvest Days – and the museum is excited to host us. The plan will be to park our cars in and around the village. They will have food trucks on sight, so lunch will be on your own today. From Landis Valley, we will head back towards Morgantown with an ice cream stop in Ephrata. Dinner will be at the hotel in the large ballroom because after dinner we will have our third annual Pinewood Derby as a Fund Raiser for the Museum of the Horseless Carriage. Bring your BSA approved racers for a fun evening event. Prizes will be awarded! The hotel bar will also be open! Total mileage of 80 miles.
Monday, October 13
Leisurely morning drive through Amish farmland to a coffee stop at Petersheim’s Upholstery shop in Nickel Mines. We will also likely have stop at an Amish wheelwrights shop close to Nickel Mines. From there we will travel to our buffet lunch at Yoder’s in New Holland! No ice cream stop on the way back to the hotel on this shorter tour day. Total mileage of 65 miles.
Tour will again be limited to 45 cars.
Parking for trailers and rigs will be at the hotel.
No hook-ups for motorhomes.
Hotel Reservation includes daily hot breakfast – made to order.
Registration fee will include Friday evening meet/greet at the hotel, Saturday’s coffee stop, admission to the Helicopter Museum. Saturday lunch and evening dinner will be on your own. Sunday includes coffee stop, and banquet at the hotel. Lunch will be on your own at Landis Valley. Monday includes coffee stop and buffet lunch.
